Kristine W. MP3, Dance Music MP3:
Though Kristine W. is not well known to mainstream music fans, she's one of clubland's biggest stars. With 11 chart topping hits, she rivals Janet Jackson and Madonna for the most consecutive #1s on the Billboard Dance/Club Play chart.
Her first single release was "Feel What You Want" in 1994. Two years later, she released her first major label CD and scored two #1 hits with "One More Try" (Junior Vasquez, David Morales) and "Land of the Living". The success of those singles prompted a re-release of newly remixed versions of "Feel What You Want" (Junior Vasquez, Jonathan Peters).
Her next CD "Stronger" was released in 2000. The title track was remixed by Vasquez and Johnny Vicious and became yet another #1. The followup single was the Hex Hector version of "Lovin' You". A third track, "Clubland", was remixed by Thunderpuss and released to clubs.
In between CDs, Kristine became part of a trio with Bruce Roberts and Elton John and recorded "When the Money's Gone". Cher later covered the track for her "Living Proof" CD. Kristine also teamed up with Murk for her next #1 "Some Lovin'", which was featured on the "Queer as Folk" soundtrack.
Kristine's next full length studio CD was released in 2003. Prior to the release, the Hani remix of "Letting Go" made the rounds. The first official single, however, was the title track "Fly Again" (Scumfrog, Vasquez, Rosario). The second #1 from the CD was "Save My Soul", which was remixed by Gabriel & Dresden, Junior Vasquez and many other popular DJs. Two more #1s followed: "The Wonder of It All" (Offer Nissim) and "I'll Be Your Light" (Tony Moran).
After "Fly Again", Kristine sang a duet of "Land of Living" with Patti LaBelle on the later's CD. In 2007, Kristine collaborated with Tony Moran on the track "Walk Away" for his "The Event" project. "Walk Away" was the first single from that set and became Kristine's tenth #1.
In 2008, Kristine released a cover of the Diana Ross disco hit "The Boss" (Paul Goodyear, Tracy Young). That single was the first release from her September, 2008 CD "The Power of Music", which features collaborations between Kristine and international DJs, producers and songwriters.
