Donna Summer Songs

Donna Summer Songs:
Donna Summer is the only superstar of disco music. Perhaps more impressive is that she has endured for four decades. Her songs sound as fresh today as ever and she continues to be an influence on generation after generation of dance music artists.
Donna Summer's first U.S. hit came in 1975. "Love to Love You Baby" went to #2 on the Pop Charts, and set the foundation for Donna's later success.
Summer's next big single came in 1977. The #6 pop hit "I Feel Love" was a groundbreaking track in it's use of technology and marked the birth of modern dance music as we know it today.
After "I Feel Love", Donna Summer's career exploded. She had no less that eight top ten hits in a row between May 1978 and January 1980.
The first post "I Feel Love" hit was the classic "Last Dance" (#3 Pop). It was followed in quick succession by "MacArthur Park" (#1), "Heaven Knows" (#4), "Hot Stuff" (#1), "Bad Girls" (#1), "Dim All the Lights" (#2), "No More Tears (Enough is Enough)" (#1), and "On the Radio"(#5).
At one point in 1979, Donna Summer had 3 singles ("Bad Girls", "Dim All the Lights" and "Enough is Enough") in the U.S. Top Five and the #1 and #2 Albums. Her place in music history was set.
In 1980, Donna set about remodeling career for the new decade. Though she initially had success with her #3 pop single "The Wanderer", she struggled for much of the decade to redefine her sound. Her post "Wanderer" singles were hit and miss, highlighted by "Love is in Control (Fingers on the Trigger)", "State of Independence", "She Works Hard for the Money", and "This Time I Know It's for Real".
By the Nineties, Donna Summer's mainstream chart career had cooled. But the dance hits kept coming: "Melody of Love (Wanna Be Loved)", "Whenever There is Love", "Carry On", "The Power of One", "I Will Go With You (Con Te Partiro)", and "Love is the Healer".
In the new millenium, Donna continued her hot streak with four more dance hits: "You're So Beautiful", "I Will Live for Love", "I Got Your Love", and "Power of Love". Her latest CD "Crayons" has already spawned "I'm a Fire", which was a recent #1 on the Billboard Dance Club/Play Chart, and "Stamp Your Feet".
