Deborah Cox Remix

Deborah Cox (DC) is one of the reigning queens of clubland. She has had a string of top dance hits since 1995, starting with the Junior Vasquez remix of "Who Do You Love" from her debut CD.

To capitalize on her rising profile as a dance music diva, Arista released the Hex Hector remix of "Things Just Ain't the Same" as the lead single from her sophmore CD "One Wish". Although "Things" was a big dance hit, it was easily eclipsed by the success of the followup single.

"Nobody's Supposed to Be Here" (Hex Hector) became one of the biggest dance music singles of the Nineties. The R&B radio version spent 14 weeks at #1 on the Billboard R&B 100 and the Hex Hector remix topped the Dance Club/Play chart.

After "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here", the Diva was clubland royalty. Hector was commissioned to remix "It's Over Now" and it became yet another #1 dance hit in 1999 as did "I Never Knew", the final single from her CD "One Wish".

By the release of her third CD in 2002, the artist's singles and album tracks were being routinely remixed for the clubs. "Absolutely Not" (Hex Hector), "Up & Down" (Hex Hector), "Mr. Lonely" (Hex Hector), "Play Your Part" (Leading Role), and "Starting With You (Danny Sullivan & Kemist) all had major club exposure.

To capitalize on her success in this arena, Arista released "Deborah Cox Remixed" in 2003. The lead single from the set was the Valentin Club Mix of "Something Happened on the Way to Heaven".

After "Heaven", the dance music star kept the momentum going with "Easy as Life" (Junior Vasquez) and "House is Not a Home" (Tony Moran). And although it did not get a commercial single release, Junior Vasquez remixed "Stupid Like You" (her collaboration with Fanatic) for club play.

In 2007, DC collaborated with Tony Moran for the later's CD "The Event". The resulting single, "Everybody Dance (Clap Your Hands)", became another club smash with mixes by Moran and Offer Nissim.
