Britney Spears News:



Since the beginning of her career, Britney Spears has dominated the media with stories about her music and her personal life. This is no surprise since Spears has become one of dance music's biggest selling artists and the public's appetite for stories about her is seemingly endless.

On the personal front, Spears marriage and then divorce from Kevin Federline fed the gossip rags for several years. Her later apparent meltdown, her "friendship" with Paris Hilton, her head shaving incident, and so on, all made front page headlines. Admidst all the controversy, it appeared that everyone had forgotten about the music.

It was in this climate, that Spears released her CD "Blackout". Although the singles "Gimme More", "Peice of Me", and "Break the Ice" have performed well, sales of the set were below expectations.

The good news is that, with the help of her family, Spears is getting her life back on track. She is back in the studio working on her next CD, which is tentatively slated for Christmas, 2008.
